It has taken five years to create this exceptional timekeeper, which unites the seventy two-hour linear power reserve with the manufacture’s Tourbillon. The JEANRICHARD master watchmakers have reviewed all the technical and aesthetic components by combining the concept of linearity and the Brand's philosophy of reinterpreting the time.

TECHNICAL LINEARITY
The power reserve is indicated in linear fashion, repeating the innovation presented by JEANRICHARD in 2005 on the Paramount Square model. The challenge faced by the brand’s master watchmakers was to combine the Tourbillon with a power reserve with a linear indicator, all inserted in a 36 x 36 mm case. The watchmakers opted technically to move the power reserve from 4.30 o’clock to 10 o’clock, thereby making space for the Tourbillon cage. This change in the power reserve location also forced the watchmakers to develop a conical train differential mechanism, replacing the flat differential and creating the space required to attach it to the barrel located at 12 o'clock. An ingenious rack system (straight moving part fitted with teeth) was developed to transmit the power reserve in a linear fashion.

AESTHETIC LINEARITY
In solid white gold, the square-shaped Paramount case takes its inspiration from the German Bauhaus architectural style of the 1930s. Designed in the 1980s by Luigi Macaluso, the volumes were reviewed in 2005. The structural lines are found in the aesthetic components of this timekeeper - the dial, the bridge and the Tourbillon cage.

One of the features of this exceptional Tourbillon is its contemporary design: the understated lines of the pink gold skeleton bridge also emphasise its technical and sporting character. The quest for balanced aesthetics continues with the quadrangular design for the Tourbillon cage opening, a break with the traditional round shape. 
 
Last but not least, the final touch to this innovative design is the dial, designed to reproduce volume, high technology and linearity in the piece. Each watchmaking complication is enhanced by a specific dial surface: the Tourbillon is set on a sunburst satin-polished black base, whilst the linear power reserve indicator sits on a screw-in back plate hand-decorated with Côtes de Genève, in the purest Swiss watchmaking tradition.
