Description

An essential component in the measurement of time, performance is also one of the pillars of Cvstos’ philosophy. It is in the context of this consistent stand that Cvstos, as the indisputable custodian of a new horological trend, takes its rightful place in the exalted tradition of time measurement instruments: the chronograph movement.

Cvstos honors performance and presents threeastonishing chronographs: the Challenge Chrono, the Challenge-R Chrono and the Evosquare Chrono. Distinguished and ergonomic in their design, these wristwatches bear witness to the primary three-dimensional concept of Cvstos Technology: maintaining a coherent identity, despite a geometrical contrast, that makes the unique style of Cvstos instantly recognizable. Endowed with a phenomenal precision, the automatic chronograph movement is equipped with a rotor developed by Cvstos Technology, combining the extreme density of tungsten with the specific modulus of elasticity of titanium grade 5.

Round, square or tonneau-shaped, the case, through a sapphire crystal transparent dial, enables one to admire the movement animated with its informational and vibrant decoration. Subtle and elegant, the changing of the date, positioned at 4 o’clock, takes place under our eyes, on a pierced disc that gently slides over a white spot applied directly to the bottom plate. Excellent readability is another feature of the various indicators that appear on the dial. The chronograph functions are harmoniously located on two counters that display a roman typeface, while the permanent functions, such as the power-reserve indicator or the small second, are expressed in the dynamic format intrinsic to italic numbers. This quest for clarity is accentuated by the luminescent coating of the hands and the indexes. Inspired directly from the latest technologies currently applied in aerospace, titanium grade 5 with its unrivaled lightness is utilized in producing the push-pieces and the screw-down crown that guarantees up to 100 meters water-resistance to all Cvstos timepieces.

Produced in steel or 5N red gold, several versions set with diamonds are also available. The black or white rubber strap is fitted with a folding clasp.

The strength and consistency that are embodied in the well-balanced proportions of the Challenge-R 50 Chrono and Evosquare Chrono are a testimony to Cvstos’ mastery of design.
