Blancpain’s L-evolution Collection, which debuted at Basel in 2009, expands this year with a new long power reserve complication, the L-evolution Semainier. Powered by an in-house automatic winding movement with three mainspring barrels and a titanium free-sprung balance, the L-evolution Semainier offers week of the year, large date, day of the week and power-reserve indications in addition to its extraordinarily long 8-day power reserve.

The L'evolution Semainier incorporates all of the features that hallmarked the Collection when it was unveiled last year, including a complex multi-layered dial, bold numerals, crisp double stepped bezel, removable lugs and 43.5mm case diameter. It also shares Blancpain’s new côtes paraboliques decoration which sets off the extra large jewels of the movement, all of which is visible through the clear case back. The Semainier will be offered in stainless steel and red gold.
