Nearly 6,000 people – professional clients, committed private collectors and the international media – attended the Fair devoted to the Art of Making Time, admiring the creativity of its 52 exhibitors. The overwhelming majority of exhibitors at GTE 2012 declared themselves extremely satisfied with feedback from their clientele, with any number of de luxe timepieces snapped up during the Fair. "Many of our exhibitors report significantly increased turnover from the days when they showed their collections in anonymous hotels!" observes GTE Managing Director Florence Noël.
GTE 2012 was a veritable watch laboratory, alive with daring concepts and exciting innovations showcasing the amazing creativity of craftsmen and their technical tours de force in designing new timepieces and reinterpreting traditional codes – pushing the art of watchmaking to the limit.
The warm and friendly ambiance at Geneva's stylish Espace Hippomène – where this year's Fair was held for the first time – was greatly appreciated by visitors and exhibitors alike, while the GTE 2012 Superwatch Awards ceremony, rewarding the most accomplished watches in the Design and Technique categories, again proved tremendously popular.

The winners – Heritage Watch Manufactory (Technique) and Cabestan (Design) – were selected by an independent jury of watch experts. They received their Awards from Geneva swimming heroine Swann Oberson, the reigning World 5-Kilometre Open-Water Champion, at a packed ceremony attended by 800 guests.
