Press release
The 2012 edition of the annual international Show EPHJ (Watchmaking Professional Environment) - EPMT (MicroTechnology Professional Environment) - SMT (Swiss Medical Technologies) will take place at Geneva Palexpo, from 5 till 8 June 2012.
Four months before the start of this 11th edition, the figures of the 2011 edition have already been exceeded with 600 exhibitors officially registered to this day. " It is not about promises or good intentions, specifies Olivier Saenger. The official list will be published from today on our website. "

Four months before its opening, the EPHJ-EPMT-SMT Show records a level of registrations higher than the 2011 edition.
The most important trade show in Switzerland unmistakably benefited from the impact of its installation at Geneva Palexpo. " We record a significant number of new exhibitors, announces André Colard. They have been seduced by the offer of Geneva Palexpo. " The same craze is felt by the visitors who are in greater numbers today to inquire and to announce their coming next June, notably from abroad. The objective of 13 ' 000 visitors would thus be reached. A crucial stake for the exhibitors who will thus open up to new markets.
This result is all the more remarkable, as it is part of a competitive context independent of the will of the organizers of EPHJ-EPMT-SMT. " The figures we publish today have the merit to be clear and totally transparent, explains Olivier Saenger. The market had to speak out. It is now done. The exhibitors chose loyalty and legitimacy by preferring the original to the copy. " Recently questioned, the exhibitors had announced their will to have only one trade show in French-speaking Switzerland. By registering very massively for EPHJ- EPMT-SMT, they assert more precisely this choice. " In light of this very clear answer of the market, notices André Colard, it is right to draw necessary conclusions. The rival offer must be removed because it obviously corresponds to no need! "
The list of the exhibitors registered to this day perfectly reflects the whole Swiss and international industry in the fields of the microtechnology and watchmaking subcontracting. As for the sector of Swiss Medical Technologies (SMT) represented for the first time in 2011, its doubling is expected for the next edition. Collaborations were thus concluded with various economic partners such as the Geneva Economic Development Office, the Office for the Promotion of Industries and Technologies (OPI) or the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIG), who will provide with their national and international networks. On the other hand, the Show still has the honor to collaborate with important institutional partners such as the EPFL, A3P, BioAlps, Medical Cluster, Micronarc, SwissLaser.net, etc. The representatives of these various institutions will participate in round tables and conferences during the Show according to a program that will soon be revealed.
