Barely four years after German reunification, Günter Blümlein realized his big dream: restoring the Lange name to its former luster and at the same time re-launching traditional German fine watchmaking, historically based in Glasshütte, in Saxony. For this captain of industry, at the time head of Jaeger-LeCoultre and IWC (since acquired by the Richemont group) and an associate of Walter Lange, great grandson of Ferdinand Adolph Lange who founded the company in 1845, this rebirth was something of a national symbol...
