TAG HEUER- “150 years of Motor Racing” in Tokyo

Just before the F1 Suzuka Grand Prix, TAG Heuer Japan hosted a party to celebrate its great heritage built with the motor racing world.

The event  was held at Mercedes-Benz Connection in Roppongi and more 300 VIP guests joined.

Jessica Michibata, Jenson Button's girlfriend and Japanese top model, was the guest star. She recently became TAG Heuer brand muse and, as such, she was proudly wearing a TAG Heuer F1 Steel & Ceramic Pavée. “TAG Heuer watches go with any fashion style and I love to change watches everyday depending on my feelings. It just like wearing different jewelry every day” said Jessica on stage.

After the Jessica’s talk show, “Japan Motor Racing HALL of FAME presented  by TAG Heuer Japan ” was organized on the stage as the second part of the event. This award was generated by TAG Heuer Japan to award persons who  contributed to the development of Japan Motor Racing scene. The 3 winners of the first year were Masafumi Suzuki, a journalist and the editorial director of “ENGINE”, Ken Okuyama, a famous car designer, and Masahiko  Kondo, a singer and an owner/supervisor of the team “KONDO Racing”. The 3 presenters of this award were Peter Stayner, an ambassador from McLaren Headquarters, Andre Lotterer, Champion of Le Mans 24 2011 with Audi and Antoine Pin, General manager of TAG Heuer Japan.

A exhibition of portraits called “The TAG Heuer racing ambassadors” has  been displayed at the same venue since Sep 26 and will stay until Oct 10.
It includes portraits of TAG Heuer ambassadors from the past to the  present, such as Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button, Alain Prost, Juan Manuel  Fangio, Steve McQueen, Ayrton Senna, Emerson Fittipaldi or Edouard Heuer, the founder of TAG Heuer.
