Between the fragrant garden and the waves of Lake Maggiore lies a small paradise: The Hotel Eden Roc in Ascona. Within the last decade this hotel has already won several awards for the best holiday hotel in Switzerland. After a five month renovation, including the spa area and a new annex, “Eden Roc Marina” which features 16 nautical trendy designed rooms as well as a retro style restaurant inspired by the seventies, reopened in early April of this year.

On the 30th of August 2010 Urs Heller, of GaultMillau Switzerland and Gabriela von Malaise, the International marketing Director of Carl F. Bucherer, awarded Eden Roc Ascona with the “Hotel of the Year 2010.” The ceremony took place in the beautiful garden which lies directly on Lake Maggiore and included many guests such as politicians and imperative tourist professionals. The Hotel is characterized by the style of renowned interior designer, Carlo Rampazzi Ascona whom accepted the award along with the director of the Hotel Eden Roc, Jens Wycisk who rejoiced exceedingly by saying, “We have received many reservations and inquiries in the first months after reopening and are extremely pleased that our innovative work is bearing fruit. We offer our guests a unique integration of luxury hotel, Spa, fine dining, and innovative customer service; and not to mention our unique location in the sunny corner of Switzerland directly on the lake.”
