
Gisbert L. Brunner, journalist and author, born in 1947.
Studies of law, psychology and pedagogic sciences at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich.
Interested in watches since his youth, deeply since mid-seventies. At the beginning mainly concerned by precision pendulum clocks, from the mid-seventies by wristwatches.
Collects precision pendulum clocks and mechanical wristwatches since mid-seventies.
From 1981: editor of „Alte Uhren“.
1983: one of three authors of the first important book about wristwatches, entitled “Wristwatches” (available in German, English, French and Italian).
From 1983 untill today: many publications on wristwatches, all together about twenty books.

1. The GPHG is a well known and a highly appreciated event in terms of Haute Horlogerie.
2. Im writing about watches since 28 years and felt honoured beeing asked to join the Jury.
3. Time is to precious to be measured with any timepiece.
