Decimal or revolutionary

A watch or clock made in 1793 following the French Revolution and the introduction of the decimal system. Each month was divided into 3 periods of 10 days known as "décades", each day into 10 hours and each hour into 100 minutes. These clocks therefore featured dials with numbers from 1 to 10. The system proved so difficult to adopt that it was abandoned in 1795.
