Chronolith

A clock whose balance is powered solely by light.

The energy source, or motor, is in fact the light emitted by two 5 watt lamps placed on either side of the clock, itself housed within a vacuum glass tube. By alternately switching on and off, these lamps drive the balance on which two heat cells are installed.
