Mechanism which indicates on a dial the number of revolutions made by the chronograph hand, in other words the minutes. Counters are made to count up to 30, 45 or 60 minutes. There are three types of counter: the continuous-action counter, with a hand that moves slowly and continuously; the semi-instantaneous counter, with a hand that begins to move at the 58th second and jumps straight to the 60th second; the instantaneous counter, with a hand that jumps straight
