Calibre 89 |
The number of complications of the Calibre 89 is comparable to that of Graves et Leroy 01 watches and to two watches manufactured for Packard in 1916 and 1927.
It is generally accepted that the hours, minutes and seconds of mean solar time are the basic functions of all 20th-century watches: they cannot therefore be regarded as complications.
The cam placed in the Calibre 89 complicated watch was designed to display the date of Easter for 29 years. In the 30th year, i.e. in 2018, the date of Easter indicator will be found opposite the letter C, which means that the cam will have to be replaced.
The Calibre 89 includes 33 complications and the Graves produced in 1933 includes 24.
