Guarantee
Roger Dubuis timepieces are guaranteed two years against any manufacturing ?aw in normal conditions of use. During the warranty period, Roger Dubuis will perform any necessary maintenance of the movement free of charge, subject to compliance with the terms of the guarantee provided with the watch. To maintain your timepiece in perfect condition, we recommend that all servicing and maintenance be carried out by an authorized Roger Dubuis Service Center.
Maintenance
A mechanical Manufacture movement is an extremely sophisticated “motor”. Unlike a car engine, it runs 24 hours a day, for years on end. In exactly the same way a car needs to be regularly serviced, a mechanical movement requires periodic maintenance. Our objective after a full service is to return the watch in pristine condition. Indeed, the watch will be covered by a new one-year guarantee if the initial two-year warranty has expired.
During a full maintenance service, the movement is given a complete revision. It is completely taken apart, its components are cleaned, inspected, replaced with new parts if they show signs of wear, and lubricated. The movement is then reassembled, and subjected to the same stringent testing as a newlymade movement. Meanwhile, the case and metal bracelet are meticulously polished. Once the movement has been cased, the complete watch is tested for a further one to three weeks to ensure its flawless functioning.
