JEANRICHARD is independent and shows it

Drawing from the inheritance of Daniel JeanRichard and inspired by his entrepreneurial spirit, JEANRICHARD designs innovative time-keepers, laying more store by manufacturing excellence than quantity. It is one of the few watchmakers capable of manufacturing all its products in-house.

JEANRICHARD has acquired the means to develop its own in-house movement, the JR1000, a statement of its know-how at the very heart of its creations. This modern-design movement saw the light of day after five years of research and development. Designed to accommodate several complications, the JR1000 calibre can be supplemented by different modules. A virtually unlimited number of functions is thus possible, including the square hour, a world first patented in 2008.

The groundbreaking brand also stands out for its use of completely new materials including injected rubber, titanium and zirconium.

JR1000 mechanical self-winding proprietary movement

Based in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland – in the heart of the watchmaking region– Swiss brand of fine watches JEANRICHARD has the privilege to benefit from a total creative and technical independence, which results in the development of innovative in house manufactured movements and cases. JEANRICHARD is one of the few Swiss watch brands which entirely produce their own mechanical movements: its workshops bring together tens of different skills and the most performing production centres.

Ten years ago, and in order to assert its independence, JEANRICHARD started developing the JR1000, its very own proprietary calibre. Since its launch in 2004, this mechanical self-winding movement has constantly been improved and extended. Important Research & Development investments have given birth to 9 models with different modules. Designed to easily accommodate several complications, the JR1000 may be enriched with various modules enabling an almost unlimited extension of its functions. Today, JEANRICHARD celebrates this achievement, underlining its determination to develop genuine manufactured watches, such as the 2TimeZones, Diverscope JR1000, Chronoscope JR1000, Bressel 1665 and Paramount Time Square.
