Roger Nicholas Balsiger

Roger Nicholas Balsiger, born in Torquay (UK) on 10th July, 1943, holds dual British and Swiss nationality and was educated in Switzerland and the United Kingdom. He is bilingual (English/German) and fluent in French.

As a young man, he studied Art before embarking on a career in Financial Services. He graduated from Swiss Mercantile College with a Federal Commercial (Banking) Degree (Hons.). His business background includes:
* Senior/Executive positions in Commerce, Banking and Finance in London, Paris and Zurich up until 1982
* Senior Management positions for Zurich Financial Services between 1983-1995 incl. build-up of and responsibilities for new markets North America, Middle East (of which 8 years as Branch Manager Dubai) and partly Europe
* Executive Board Member Credit Suisse/Winterthur-Columna 1995-1997 responsible for Marketing and market launch of joint-venture Company with assets under management of near to CHF 100 billion
* Head Global Benefits/Member of Senior Management Credit Suisse Group/Winterthur Life 1997 – July 2005 (retirement)

Roger Nicholas Balsiger is Hon. Chairman of the Board of Directors of the watchmaking company MOSER GROUP AG, Schaffhausen, owners of the Brand “H. Moser & Cie.”. As great-grandson of Heinrich Moser, he has published various biographies about family members and also appeared on radio and TV. He is the Managing Partner of “RNB Consulting GmbH”, a Founding Partner of “cm1 crisis management – all-in-one GmbH” and Advisory Board Member, Secretary and Foundation Board Member of international financial service companies.

Balsiger is a Councillor of the British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce, a Founding Member of the Swiss-Maltese Chamber of Commerce, Member of the Swiss Society for Foreign Policy, a Member of the Sponsoring Association of Zurich Tonhalle Orchestra and a Member of the International Bach Society, listing his major activities. He is married and has three sons.
